CONGRATULATIONS MHS NJROTC CLASS OF 2014
Congratulations and good luck to all of Middletown High School's Class of 2014. I especially want to congratulate the graduates of our NJROTC program. For four long years you (most of you) have persisted in a program that I am sure, at times, you found annoying, distracting, and of questionable value. I hope you also found some value in being a member of the unit and that you formed some friendships that will grow as you move into the future. While most of you will never again need to know what is the preferred extinguishing method for a class "C" fire, or what is the correct method for determining the CPA of a contact, I hope that you might one day look back at your time as a cadet and find that you really did get something extra out of your participation.
Please remember that Master Sergeant and I are proud of each of you and take particular pride in our designation as a NETC "Distinguished Unit" The award that was the well-deserved result of your hard work over the last several years. Good luck to you in whatever the future brings!

MIDDLETOWN ATTAINS DISTINGUISHED UNIT STATUS
Congratulations to the cadets of Middletown High School for selection as a Distinguished Unit. The selection was made based on performance throughout the competitive cycle that ran from April 2013 through March 2014. The official announcement was made at the awards ceremony and change of command held on Monday, 9 June. During the ceremony we recognized many of our cadets for their individual performance throughout the year. Cadet Amanda Vasquez then relieved Cadet Corrinne (stet) Jewell as Cadet Commanding Officer. Here are a few pictures:

On Friday, 6 June we all enjoyed the annual MHS Military Ball, held at Middletown's West Hills Cuntry Club. Here are a few pictures:
