WELCOME BACK PICNIC

On Saturday, 29 August the NJROTC Booster Club will be hosting our annual welcome back picnic from Noon until we're done.  The picnic will be held at Maple Hill Park.  The swimming pool will be available (bring a couple of dollars).

We'll have a full menu, games, etc.  Be there or be square!

BACK TO SCHOOL UPDATE

It's Monday, August 17th and  you are thinking, I am sure, about everything that needs to be done to be ready for the upcoming school year.  Here are a few comments regarding NJROTC:

• The first uniform day for returning cadets is 9 September.  That's the Wednesday of the second week of school.  Be ready.
• Start thinking haircuts and shaves.  For the ladies, start thinking about hair color and acceptable cosmetics.
• Get your shoes shined and your uniforms pressed out if needed.
• New general knowledge is available on-line.  We have a new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, a new CNO, a new commandant of the Marine Corps, a new commander of the Naval Service Training Command, and a new NJROTC area manager, and, of course, a new cadet chain of command.
• Remember that the school will be filled with new 9th graders.  Whether they are cadets or not, and regardless of whether you or they are in uniform, please make the extra effort to model proper behavior.
