The Armed Service Vocational Aptitude Battery, or “ASVAB,” will be
administered on Friday, 29 January at 12 noon, here at Middletown High
School. Why would anyone in their right
mind want to take yet another test? The ASVAB is a test of eight areas including
science, math, word knowledge, and mechanical comprehension. In addition to serving as the entry test for
military service, it is a good way to learn what skills you might bring to the
job market and what areas you might need to enhance. An interpretation of your scores will be
offered that will help you understand what career fields may best match your
interests and abilities. If you are
interested in entering the military, the ASVAB will be used to determine your
eligibility as well as to determine what jobs and training you might be
offered.
Interested 10th, 11th, and 12th
graders must see Commander Wall in the ROTC classroom (room 17) by Wednesday, 20
January to reserve a place.
There is no cost or obligation.
Your name and personal information will
not be shared with the military.
